This time last year I was desperate to lose some weight, the heaviest I have ever been; I was stress eating, dealing with 2 young children and using food as a comfort.reward.  I also had hernia surgery so exercise was fairly non existent.

. I still I am not an ideal body weight or pre baby weight but I am slowly learning that it’s ok and it will come slowly but surely. I wanted to share for those who are thinking about fad diets or quick fixes ..: they don’t simply work. Be kind to yourself as I am often not!  I totally recommend The Studios; they helped me to be consistent and healthier. Over 30lb a down hopefully this year another 10-20lb but my goal is to get back running

I have trained in various commercial gyms over the years, but always struggled with maintaining commitment. Having worked with Rachel, I can now see this was because I had not found a trainer who had really understood my challenge of juggling being a working mum and looking after my own health. Before working with Rachel, I was was constantly tired, not sleeping well, and eating on the run by grabbing whatever was closest at hand. Rachel showed me that by prioritising one hour day, I could become stronger, fitter and healthier and what’s more, doing this results in increased energy for work and my children. It’s been a massive win-win.

We laid out my typical week and worked out how to programme my training and nutrition. In fact, I have surprisingly enjoyed the process and I relish my 3 training sessions each week as I can see and feel the progress I continue to make. Rachel is always there to support and keep me on track which is hugely reassuring.

Rachel initially started as a nutrition coach before opening her personal training gym. As a busy Mum of 2, Rachel understood the struggles that women face when finding the time to look after themselves. Rachel wants to help women find their identity whilst providing them with the knowledge to grow strong, confident and healthier.
